This gallery covered all major attractions I was able to cover on a 3-day trip to Rome, Italy, but specifically the Vatican City.
Unfortunately, I could not take photos or recordings of the Sistine Chapel. Phones, pictures, cameras and recording devices are prohibited in the Sistine Chapel. So, we were asked to put away our phones and cameras once we got to the entrance of the Sistine Chapel. But believe me when I say, c’est magnifique! It is beyond beautiful and breathtaking. Imagine a wall to ceiling painting of the Roman early catholic church and other paintings by Michelangelo.
Also, you are not allowed to talk inside the Sistine Chapel. It is the pope’s prayer chapel and was painted by Michelangelo. To access the Sistine Chapel, you have to pass through the Vatican Museums.
Pictures covered the streets of Vatican City, the Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Square and Basilica, and Michelangelo’s Castle.
Now, let’s start with the walls of Vatican City.
Happy Viewing.
